How to Calculate Betting Odds

In different parts of the world, betting odds are presented differently. Whether you’re familiar with the American system used by Vegas sportsbooks or the fractional odds at UK racetracks, here at Betting Instinct we want to make things as easy as possible.

So next time you see an online bookmaker offering headline odds in a system you are not familiar with, you can consult the handy table below to work out a ‘translation’. The amount you win (the fourth column) does not include your stake, which will be returned to you when you make a winning real-money bet.
